Pantera – The Great Southern Outtakes
The Great Southern Trendkill (1996) is one of the most punishing records in Pantera's catalogue. Recorded under pressure, with Phil Anselmo tracking his vocals separately in New Orleans while Dimebag, Vinnie, and Rex laid down some of the most technically ferocious grooves of their career. The Great Southern Outtakes is the official companion to those sessions: a compilation of raw, unguarded material that fills in the gaps between the takes and rewards close listening.
Released in October 2016 on Rhino/Atlantic as part of the ongoing archival programme around Pantera's catalogue, pressed on 180g black vinyl. This is the real thing, properly licensed, properly pressed, and in exceptional condition.
