This is Pantera in 1984 - a young band from Arlington, Texas, releasing their second album on Metal Magic Records, their own family label run by father Jerry Abbott. Terry Glaze on vocals, Rex Brown - then going by Rex Rocker on bass, Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul already locked in as one of the tightest rhythm sections in American heavy metal, and a sound rooted firmly in the melodic, hard-edged heavy metal of the era.

Projects in the Jungle is a genuine curio — raw, hungry, and completely unlike the band Pantera would become. Essential for anyone tracing the full arc of their story, and pressed here on orange vinyl alongside I Am the Night (green) and Power Metal (yellow).
