In November 1998, Metallica embarked on the Garage Barrage Tour, a rare four-city run of intimate club shows to promote their covers double album Garage Inc. Rather than arena spectacle, this was Metallica at their most stripped-back and fan-focused, performing nothing but covers in rooms a fraction of their usual size.

This unofficial live recording captures the Electric Factory, Philadelphia, November 23rd 1998, one of the tour's four stops. The set draws entirely from the Garage Inc. repertoire: Misfits, Diamond Head, Queen, Black Sabbath, Mercyful Fate, Bob Seger, Sweet Savage, Anti-Nowhere League, Killing Joke, and Motörhead. An essential document of one of heavy metal's most unpretentious and generous nights.
