Incubus - S.C.I.E.N.C.E. (Transparent Blue 2LP)

Restless, groove-heavy and willing to follow an idea wherever it leads, S.C.I.E.N.C.E. captures Incubus at their most exploratory. Funk-driven bass, heavy guitars and turntable textures collide with Brandon Boyd’s melodic vocals, giving the album a character that stretches well beyond straightforward alternative metal.

Originally released on 9 September 1997, Incubus’s second studio album was produced by Jim Wirt and recorded at 4th Street Recording in Santa Monica. From “Redefine” and “New Skin” to “A Certain Shade Of Green” and “Summer Romance (Anti-Gravity Love Song)”, it balances abrasive energy with playful, genre-crossing invention. This is the 2020 Music On Vinyl reissue on 180g transparent blue double vinyl, limited to 2,000 numbered copies. This copy is number 430/2000.
