Incubus - Make Yourself (Velvet Purple 2LP)

Heavy grooves give way to space, melody and a more personal voice on Make Yourself. Incubus’s third studio album tightens the restless experimentation of their earlier work into focused songs, balancing the bite of “Pardon Me” with the atmosphere of “Stellar” and the acoustic-led pull of “Drive”.

Originally released on 26 October 1999, the album was produced by Incubus and Scott Litt and recorded at NRG in Los Angeles. It was their first studio album with turntablist Chris Kilmore, whose textures sit alongside Mike Einziger’s guitar and Brandon Boyd’s vocals. This is the 2020 Music On Vinyl reissue on 180g velvet purple double vinyl, limited to 2,000 numbered copies. This copy is number 860/2000.
