Gonga - Black Sabbeth feat. Beth Gibbons (Clear Vinyl 12-inch)

Bristol heavy rock meets Portishead’s unmistakable voice on Black Sabbeth. Gonga join forces with Beth Gibbons for a cover of Black Sabbath’s self-titled song, bringing her haunting vocal presence into the heart of its doom-laden atmosphere. The title is no typo: this is Sabbath with Beth.

Released for Record Store Day on 19 April 2014, this clear-vinyl 12-inch is limited to 500 copies. The reverse side features “Calumet Altar”, a Gonga composition taken from their album Concrescence, making this a two-track meeting of Sabbath homage and the band’s own heavy rock.
