Fu Manchu - In Search Of... (30th Anniversary Coloured 2LP)

Skate-punk momentum meets a wall of Sabbath-weight fuzz. Fu Manchu's In Search Of... turns Orange County asphalt into a playground for thick riffs and headlong grooves, with Asphalt Risin' snapping into motion and Cyclone Launch pushing the accelerator further down. There's plenty of low-end weight here, but nothing about it stands still.

Originally released in 1996, their third album marked Fu Manchu's move onto a major label. This expanded 30th-anniversary edition also includes the band's 1995 four-track demos, offering a rougher view of the songs taking shape before the finished album. Issued by At The Dojo across two LPs on 'Red Blur' and 'Night Sky' vinyl in a gatefold sleeve, it's a return to a record whose grip remains considerably better than its road manners.
