Down - Down II (A Bustle In Your Hedgerow...) (2016 180g 2LP)

Southern rock grit meets heavy-metal weight on Down II (A Bustle In Your Hedgerow...). Hailing from New Orleans, Down bring together players connected to some of heavy music's defining bands: Phil Anselmo of Pantera, Kirk Windstein of Crowbar, Jimmy Bower of Eyehategod and Pepper Keenan of Corrosion of Conformity. Here, those backgrounds feed a sound with its own thick grooves and loose, earthy pull.

From the force of Ghosts Along The Mississippi to the expansive sweep of Learn From This Mistake, the album makes room for more than sheer weight. The writing credits bring together Anselmo, Keenan, Windstein and Bower, while Wayne Lohr adds Hammond B3 organ to Stained Glass Cross and Where I'm Going. This European 2016 reissue presents the fifteen-track album across two 180-gram LPs on EastWest Records America.
