Alice In Chains - MTV Unplugged (30th Anniversary Ruby Red 2LP)

No wall of distortion to hide behind, just the songs and those unmistakable voices. Alice In Chains' MTV Unplugged turns Nutshell, Down In A Hole and Rooster into something intimate and quietly devastating, with Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell's harmonies carrying every ounce of their weight.

Recorded on 10 April 1996 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York, this is the band's landmark live acoustic set, not a studio recording. The 30th anniversary reissue brings the performance to ruby red double vinyl, tracing a path from the hushed opening of Nutshell through Would?, Frogs and the closing Killer Is Me.
