Recorded in April 1996 at MTV's Brooklyn studios, Alice In Chains' MTV Unplugged captured the band at their most raw and exposed. Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell trading vocals in a hushed, candlelit setting that made the weight of every lyric impossible to ignore.

Stripped of distortion but none of the darkness, the set draws from across their catalogue: Rooster, Down in a Hole, Would?, and Nutshell among them. It remains one of the definitive Unplugged performances, and one of Staley's final major appearances before his death in 2002.
