Alice In Chains - Jar Of Flies / Sap (2010 Music On Vinyl 2LP)

Alice In Chains at their most stripped-back, but no less heavy. Jar Of Flies and Sap trade the wall of distortion for acoustic guitars, shadowy harmonies and songs that linger long after the needle lifts. The ache of Nutshell, the slow pull of Rotten Apple and the melodic lift of No Excuses reveal a different kind of weight.

This 2010 Music On Vinyl edition brings together the studio EPs Jar Of Flies, originally released in 1994, and Sap, first released in 1992. Sap adds Brother and Got Me Wrong, alongside Right Turn, credited to Alice Mudgarden and featuring Chris Cornell and Mark Arm. Ann Wilson also guests on Brother and Am I Inside. Pressed across three sides of heavyweight vinyl, with the band's Tribal Sun logo etched into the fourth.
